Delpech Earns Prestigious Academic All-American Honors

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday that Kent State's Ines Delpech has been honored as an Academic All-American on the At-Large Second Team.

Delpech is the fourth student-athlete in Kent State history to be named a CoSIDA At-Large Academic All-American. She joins men's golfer Kevin Kraft who was named to the Third Team in 1994 and women's golfers Gabby Wedding (Second Team in 2004 and 2005) and Martina Gavier (Third Team in 2010).

The At-Large team is comprised of 15 sports, including gymnastics, tennis, fencing, swimming, golf, lacrosse, rowing and field hockey, with only 46 student-athletes named All-America in the women's At-Large in 2017.
