KENT, Ohio — The Kent State softball team's Mid-American Conference series finale against rival Akron scheduled for Saturday, March 26 has been postponed due to unplayable weather conditions. The teams will attempt to reschedule the contest, which will be worth one point in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge standings, at a later date.
The teams split a doubleheader on Friday, as the Zips took the opener, 4-3, and the Golden Flashes dominated in an 11-3 five-inning victory to even the series.
Kent State will play six games over five days in the state of Indiana during spring break next week with stops at Purdue Fort Wayne and Indiana before playing three-game MAC series at Ball State.
