BUFFALO, N.Y. – Once again, Kent State showed that it can compete with anybody in the Mid-American Conference when playing its best Saturday afternoon in a 76-67 loss at Buffalo.
The Golden Flashes (12-9, 5-5 MAC) outscored their host 28-12 over a span of 13:43 during the second half to make it a four-point game after trailing by 20 less than two minutes into the third period. Kent State then went more than three minutes before scoring again, as the Bulls pushed their lead back to double-digits.
Redshirt junior Megan Carter and junior Ali Poole led the Flashes with 16 points each.
