Close Game Falls Away From Flashes in 55-52 Final

OXFORD, Ohio – It was a battle in Millett Hall Wednesday night, with a shot at the buzzer to tie the game falling short and resulting in a 55-52 loss for Kent State (4-16, 1-9) against Miami (9-11, 3-6).

Paige Salisbury got the scoring started in the game but then the Flashes did not score a basket for the next four minutes, allowing the RedHawks to take a very slight early lead, as the home team struggled to score on the onset as well.

An old-fashioned three-point play from Tyra James and jumper from Jordan Korinek towards the end the first quarter brought the deficit closer.
