CLEVELAND, Ohio –Kent State sophomore Clara Rodriquez Setó was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week following the opening weekend of play, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon. Rodriguez Setó was part of a consistent back row in games against Old Dominion and Michigan State.
Rodriguez Setó has been instrumental as part of a Kent State defense that allowed only one goal in Friday's contest against Old Dominion. With the aid of Rodriguez Setó's play, the Monarchs were held to just four shots on goal, scoring the match's only tally on a penalty stroke.
