KENT, OHIO- Kent State senior outfielder Maria Cegledy has been named one of thirty finalists for the Senior CLASS Award, recognizing excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School ®, the CLASS Award, the award requires the player to excel in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition and be a senior in their final year of eligibility.
On the field, Cegledy is a two-time All-MAC outfielder. One of the best defensive outfielders in the conference, she has only one error in her Kent State career and owns a stellar .
