BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Kent State's (12-17) Bailey Brownfield smacked four doubles and drove in three runs while pitchers Madi Huck and Andrea Scali combined for a one-hitter in the Golden Flashes doubleheader split on Wednesday against Lehigh (10-15). The Golden Flashes won the nightcap 5-0, but fell in game one, 5-2.
"It was good to win game two and earn the split, said Kent State head coach Eric Oakley, "Overall, we had a good trip and won three out of four games and hit the ball well."
Brownfield hit two doubles in each game and has moved up to fifth all-time in career doubles (38) at KSU and is tied with Kim Henzler (1990-93) and Jessica Carmichael (2008-11).
