KENT, Ohio – Kent State (14-10, 2-1 MAC) fell in the series finale to the Western Michigan Broncos (14-13, 1-2 MAC), 12. The Broncos banged out 17 hits in their run-rule victory, the most KSU has allowed this season. Kent State was limited to six hits and stranded 10 runners on base.
Western Michigan wasted no time and scored first in the second frame and went on to score three runs in both the third and fourth innings to take a commanding 7-0 lead. Kent State scored its lone tally in the bottom of the fourth inning on an infield single by Vanessa Scoarste that drove in pinch runner Sydney Anderson.
