CLEVELAND – Kent State junior Ayden Bath has been selected as Mid-American Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Bath shattered the Duke Invitational decathlon record and posted national top-20 marks in two events during his first multis competition of the season. He set new PRs in six events and totaled 7,466 points, which ranks 15th nationally and is the best by a MAC competitor since 2019, to beat the previous meet record by 332 points. His MAC-leading long jump mark of 25'-0.75" puts him at No. 20 on the national performance list
The Golden Flash will continue the outdoor season at the Sparky Adams Invitational in Berea on Friday and Saturday.
