Collegiate Baseball ranked Kent State 39th in the nation in its 2017 pre-season poll released on Tuesday, presented by Big League Chew bubble gum.
The Golden Flashes are coming off a 44-14 season in 2016 where they compiled the third-most wins in program history and went 20-4 in conference play to take the Mid-American Conference regular season title.
The 2017 squad will return a majority of key contributors from last season, including Collegiate Baseball Pre-Season Second Team All-American Eli Kraus in the weekend rotation. Fellow starters Connor Wollershiem and Joey Murray will vie for weekend spots.
