Barnes Breaks School Hurdles Record: Currently Leads Nation

Kent, Ohio – Kent State senior William Barnes broke Ron Andrews' 60-meter hurdle school record (7.72, 2002), Saturday Feb. 20, at the Kent State Tune-Up with a time of 7.67. Barnes' time is the fastest in NCAA Division I competitions this season and also broke the Kent State Field House record of 7.74, previously held by Marc Johnson (2007).

In the men's 800m, senior Jacob Swords came away victorious with a time of 1:51.91. Brandon Harris was the top finisher in the 60m dash for the Golden Flashes, with a time of 6.
