FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Gabby Bailey recorded a personal-best throw of 56'-1.75" to capture sixth place in the women's shot put on Friday as three Kent State student-athletes were in action on Friday at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Bailey's opening throw went 54'-3.75", and she sat in fourth at the end of the first round. Following a foul, she unleashed a huge throw that traveled 56'-1.75", which is second on the Golden Flashes' indoor women's shot put performance list. Bailey threw 54' on her fourth attempt, which was followed by two fouls.
