Mount Pleasant, Mich. - The Kent State women's indoor track and field team concluded competition at the 2021 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday with one athlete likely punching her ticket to nationals and a handful of Flashes scoring in their events.
Senior Gabby Bailey needed just one throw to claim the MAC shot put title, launching an indoor best 55' 3" on her first attempt to win and move fourth all-time in the record book. More importantly, the mark puts her comfortably in the top-16 in the nation and likely secures her spot at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
