CLEVELAND – Kent State sophomore Mya Babbitt has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Babbitt led the Golden Flashes to a pair of 20-point victories last week, averaging 19.5 points per game on 57.9% shooting. She scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in a win over Duquesne on Wednesday. Just three days later, Babbitt shot 7-of-10 from the floor and scored a career-high 25 points against Xavier.
Kent State will be back in action later this week at the Puerto Rico Clasico with games scheduled for Thursday against Brown and Friday against Colorado State.
