BOSTON – Kent State sophomore Baidy Ba got the indoor track and field season started Saturday evening at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener with a record-setting performance in the 5,000-meter run.
The performance continues a historic semester for Ba, who competed at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships two weeks ago. After running the fastest 8K race at the Mid-American Conference Championships by a Golden Flash all-time, he set a Kent State cross country 10K record at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships to punch his ticket to nationals.
The Kent State track and field program will be back in action at the Falcon Early Bird Open on Saturday, Jan.
