Avery & Williams Earn Medals of Excellence

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference honored men's basketball player Jalen Avery and gymnast Dara Williams Wednesday night with MAC Medals of Excellence during its annual Honors Dinner Ceremony at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel. The evening also included the official induction of former Kent State softball standout Pauline Maurice into the MAC Hall of Fame.

The Medal of Excellence is presented annually to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each of the 12 Conference member institutions. Student-athletes had to participate on the varsity level in a conference sponsored sport and shown evidence of academic success, exhibited athletics excellence, leadership and service.
