Young Cats look to show experience

For just the fourth time since 1977, the Kansas State volleyball team won’t have a single senior on its roster.

That’s OK, though, because the group of players it does have all return plenty of experience.

The Wildcats, who lost four seniors from last year’s team, return eight letterwinners and 11 total players — including preseason All-Big 12 players Katie Brand and Kylee Zumach.

The last time the Wildcats were without a senior was 2011, when K-State reached the regional semifinals of the NCAA tournament. Even without one, K-State coach Suzie Fritz said it doesn’t change how they will approach anything.
