Jake Wodtke drove in a career-high six runs to lead Kansas State to its fourth straight win on Saturday, powering the Wildcats over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 15-9 at Tointon Family Stadium.
K-State (6-4) used Wodtke’s big bat, along with 17 total hits to score at least 15 runs for the third consecutive game — a first for the Wildcats since 1996.
Wodtke, who has 10 of his team-high 12 RBIs in the last three games, produced the most RBI by a Wildcat since 2011. The redshirt junior gave K-State an early lead in the first with a sacrifice fly and then delivered a two-run single in the third — to make it 3-1 Wildcats — and a bases-loaded triple that was a part of K-State’s seven-run sixth.
