Winning at Bramlage Coliseum no easy task for Kansas State this season | The Wichita Eagle

Here’s a stat you don’t see everyday: Kansas State has a better record in Big 12 road games (4-3) than it does in Big 12 home games (3-3).

How can that be?

There’s no easy answer. The Wildcats have won back-to-back road games against Oklahoma State and Texas, yet lost back-to-back home games against West Virginia and Kansas. It’s strange. Bramlage Coliseum isn’t providing the natural advantage it once did. Over the past three years, K-State is 11-13 in Big 12 home games and 9-16 in Big 12 road games.

A home game with last-place Iowa State, which is 0-6 on the road in Big 12 play, would usually be a time for the home team to kick back and relax, but the Wildcats are taking the opposite approach into Saturday’s noon tip against the Cyclones.
