LUBBOCK, Texas — None of the current Wildcats were alive the last time Kansas State lost six straight games.
Hoping to end one streak and start another in an attempt to become bowl eligible, the Wildcats again came up short Saturday, losing to Texas Tech, 59-44, at Jones AT&T Stadium.
It’s the first six-game losing streak for the Wildcats since 1989 when K-State lost seven straight during Bill Snyder’s first season in Manhattan.
“I was proud of that football team because they got better every single week,” Snyder said of his first team. “I’m proud of a number of things this football team is doing, but there’s some things we just haven’t been able to improve upon, and that’s disheartening to me.
