As fictional MLB manager Lou Brown said in the movie Major League, “…that’s called a winning streak. It HAS happened before.”
Well winning streaks have happened before for the K-State women’s basketball team. And a 3-game winning streak was born once again on Wednesday night as the Wildcats defeated their in-state rival Kansas Jayhawks, 59-46 at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas.
K-State jumped on the Jayhawks right from the tip-off. The Wildcats used 6 points from junior center Breanna Lewis to start the game up 6-0. The Jayhawks just a mere 2 points in the first quarter thanks to a layup from freshman forward, Tyler Johnson.
