With the two-month-long losing skid dead and buried and Kansas State now riding a three-game winning streak, the Wildcats won’t be singing the blues anytime soon.
But K-State is headed to Memphis, Tenn. — home of the blues — next month to play in the Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2 against Arkansas.
Kicking off at 2:20 p.m. on ESPN, the Liberty Bowl will be the Wildcats’ sixth straight postseason appearance and 17th bowl game under head coach Bill Snyder in 24 seasons.
The Wildcats capped the regular season on Saturday with a 24-23 victory over West Virginia, giving K-State three straight wins on the heels of a six-game slide to open Big 12 play — the longest losing streak since 1989.
