Junior opposite Bryna Vogel recorded a match-high 12 kills with just a single error to lead the Kansas State volleyball team to a sweep (25-18, 25-19, 25-20) of Big 12 rival Texas Tech on Wednesday night at United Supermarkets Arena. The win is K-State’s fifth straight over the Red Raiders.
“All the hitters were rolling tonight,” Vogel said. “(Texas Tech’s) blockers couldn’t key on any one of us so it really opened up seams for me and all of us.”
K-State (13-4, 2-2 Big 12) used a 9-3 run midway through the opening set before finishing off the game scoring seven of the final 10 points, earning a 25-18 win.
