With less than 24 hours before the NIT selection show, Kansas State’s chances of making the field have decreased in the minds of bracketologists.
The NIT will announce its field of 32 teams tonight at 7:30 on ESPNU. According to dratings.com, the Wildcats (17-16) will be on the outside looking in.
K-State’s chances of making the tournament have been hurt by its overall and conference records, as well as the 12 regular-season conference champions who didn’t win their conference tournaments. Any team that wins its league in the regular season but doesn’t earn an NCAA tournament bid gets automatic inclusion into the NIT.
