Wildcats set to host rival KU

The Kansas State women’s tennis team opens a four-match homestand to close out the regular season Saturday when it hosts No. 35 KU in the Sunflower Showdown at 2 p.m. at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.

The Wildcats (9-10, 1-5 Big 12) are 4-3 at home this year, while the Jayhawks (14-5, 4-2) hold an identical record on the road.

“KU has a great team this year,” K-State head coach Danielle Steinberg said. “They are very well coached, and we know that they will come out with a lot of energy and a fighting mentality. We will have the home-court advantage and are feeling good after our win (at West Virginia), so I’m anticipating a great college match on Saturday.
