TULSA, Okla. — The Kansas State women’s basketball team blocked a school-record 14 shots and Kaylee Page scored a game-high 21 points as the Wildcats opened the season with a 75-67 victory over Tulsa on Friday night at Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Page was 8 of 11 from the field — including 4 for 6 from behind the arc — to lead four Wildcats in double figures. Page, making her K-State debut, also collected seven rebounds.
But the real story was K-State’s defensive effort, as four different Wildcats tallied two or more blocks, including Bre Lewis, who had a game-high six stops.
