This time, the stats and the result will count. And the Kansas State women’s basketball team is really excited about it.
Head coach Jeff Mittie said the team is focusing on itself ahead of Friday evening’s regular season opener against Chicago State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
He was pleased with the 32 assists the Wildcats racked up in Monday night’s exhibition finale, a 100-33 win against Newman.
“I thought we moved the ball better than we had all fall, so that was a real positive,” Mittie said.
Kindred Wesemann had nine of those, leading K-State.
