Wildcats rally to beat Bears

Six different Kansas State players had multi-hit games, Jake Scudder hit his second home run of the series and the Wildcat offense powered to an 11-7 win over Baylor on Saturday at Tointon Family Stadium.

K-State (17-22, 4-10 Big 12) snapped its three-game losing streak by rattling off 16 hits, including six straight to start a three-run fourth and three more to help fuel a four-run fifth. The seven runs over the fourth and fifth lifted the Wildcats out of a 6-2 deficit.

Scudder’s two-run home run in the sixth, his team-best sixth of the season, allowed the Wildcats to answer the run by Baylor (18-21, 5-9 Big 12) in the top half of the frame that cut the advantage to 9-7.
