There is no Jake Waters, Tyler Lockett or Curry Sexton to bail out the Kansas State running game this season.
A year ago, while the Wildcats struggled to go anywhere on the ground, they turned into one of the most prolific and efficient passing offenses in the Big 12.
Now K-State is looking for a new quarterback and new receivers — knowing full well that a running game will be of utmost importance this year to help keep the offense moving.
That was easier said than done last season, though, as Charles Jones led the Wildcats’ with just 540 rushing yards.
