SAMMAMISH, Wash. — The K-State women’s golf team carded a 23-over par 599 over the first 36 holes on Tuesday to enter final-round play in sixth place at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational held at the par-72, 6,039-yard Sahalee Country Club.
“I’m very proud their effort today,” K-State head coach Kristi Knight said of her team, which carded a tournament-leading 29 birdies over the first two rounds. “This is a demanding golf course. We saw a lot of good golf today. We had our wobbles, but all in all it was a solid 36 holes at Sahalee.”
Junior Madison Talley and sophomore Connie Jaffrey are tied for 13th at 4-over-par 148.
