MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — The Kansas State baseball team scored its most runs in a Big 12 game since 2013 and clinched its first conference series win of the season on Saturday as the Wildcats beat West Virginia, 15-2, at Monongalia County Ballpark.
K-State (16-19, 3-8 Big 12) had 24 baserunners, with the help of 16 hits — including seven extra-base hits, seven walks and a hit batsman — and scored runs in each of the first six innings to build an insurmountable lead over the Mountaineers (17-16, 4-6).
Seven different K-State hitters had multiple hits, led by three from Josh Rolette.
