STILLWATER, Okla. — Facing Oklahoma State for the second time in seven days, the Kansas State women’s tennis was swept by the top-seeded Cowgirls, 4-0, on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Women’s Tennis Championship at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
After winning their first round matchup against No. 8 Iowa State on Thursday, the No. 9 Wildcats (11-14) lost four singles matches to the No. 1 Cowgirls (22-4). Due to the weather affecting the playing conditions, singles were played before doubles.
“Conditions were tough today, playing singles first, not knowing if we are indoors or outdoors, and having to go indoors mid-match,” explained K-State head coach Danielle Steinberg.
