COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Kansas State women’s tennis team earned singles wins from Millie Stretton and Livia Cirnu, but was unable to keep pace with Missouri on Wednesday as the Wildcats lost the dual 5-2 at Mizzou Tennis Complex.
Stretton, playing in the No. 6 position for the Wildcats (3-2), won her seventh straight singles match by defeating Missouri’s (7-0) Clare Raley 3-6, 6-2, 10-7. The freshman remains undefeated in dual match singles with a 5-0 mark.
Cirnu won her third straight singles match, taking the first set against Brittany Lashway, 6-4, before Lashway retired while up 3-2 in the second.
