Wildcat women roll past UT Arlington

MANHATTAN — The K-State women’s basketball team started a grueling four-day stretch of three games with a blowout win against the University of Texas-Arlington on Thursday night, downing the Mavericks 61-41.

A huge part of the Wildcats’ success on the night was junior guard Kindred Wesemann, who used a 5 of 7 shooting performance from 3-point range to propel her team to an insurmountable 29-point lead in the third quarter.

Also going a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line to lead all scorers with 19 points, Wesemann had her best performance since a 29-point performance against South Dakota.
