MANHATTAN — The chatter around sophomore junior-college transfer Byron Pringle prior to the 2016 Kansas State football season was both loud and well-deserved.
After all, the wide receiver out of Butler Community College had shown in K-State’s 2016 spring game he could put on a show. In that game back on April 24, Pringle reeled in nine passes for 163 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown pass.
The only thing was, Pringle had yet to show a performance like that before K-State’s 24-21 win against Texas on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
Pringle caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown against the Longhorns, so he still has yet to have a performance like his spring game.
