MANHATTAN — Wesley Iwundu was presented the Rolando Blackman Most Valuable Player award at the Kansas State basketball banquet Monday.
In addition to the team MVP trophy, Iwundu was named the Jack Hartman Top Defensive Player for the second time in his three seasons at K-State. The 6-foot-7 forward was the only Wildcat to play and start all 33 games this past season, ranking first or second on the team in 13 categories by averaging 11.9 points, 3.7assists and 1.3 steals a game. He was a third-team All-Big 12 selection and was on the all-conference defensive team.
