Waters to sign with Seahawks

With one of their three quarterbacks hurt, the Seattle Seahawks were set to sign former Kansas State quarterback Jake Waters today.

Seahawks’ quarterback Tarvaris Jackson suffered a high-ankle sprain in the first preseason game, leaving Seattle to find a replacement for the rest of training camp.

On Monday, the Seahawks moved wide receiver B.J. Daniels back to quarterback for this week, and he was expected to fill the role of third string quarterback in Friday’s preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The move officially reunites Waters with Seahawks’ third-round draft pick Tyler Lockett, who already made waves in Seattle in the first preseason game when he returned a kickoff 103 yards for a touchdown.
