Wade's double-double paces K-State rout over Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dean Wade notched the first double-double of his college basketball career, leading Kansas State to a 66-42 victory over Missouri in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic on Monday at Sprint Center.

Wade, the 6-foot-10 freshman from St. John, had 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Wildcats improved to 4-0 and moved into the championship game at 9 p.m. Tuesday against the winner of Monday’s late game between No. 9 North Carolina and Northwestern.

K-State took advantage of poor shooting by Missouri (5 of 27) to build a 31-14 halftime lead. The score was tied twice in the opening minutes but the Wildcats never trailed to beat the Tigers (1-3) in the first meeting between the former conference rivals since 2012.
