You might not expect a lot of highlight reel plays in a game with more turnovers than baskets and a winning score of 50, but the Kansas State Wildcats turned in a few highlights Sunday in their 50-43 victory over the UMBC Retrievers — most of them in the final five minutes and change.
With just over five minutes left, sophomore Xavier Sneed snatched the ball away from Arkel Lamar and took it all the way for a fierce two-handed dunk.
Two minutes later, Sneed anticipated Barry Brown Jr.’s missed jumper and came flying in for another dunk, this time on the offensive rebound.
