The Oklahoma State Cowboys narrowly escaped the clutches of defeat Saturday night when they faced the Kansas State Wildcats. They can chalk up one big scoring drive to the horrendous Big 12 officiating.
The referees in the conference have been drawing criticism over the last few weeks and this call will surely draw more. According to College Spun, the Cowboys faced a long third down. They completed a pass, but were still four yards short of the first down.
Despite that, the referees awarded the Cowboys a first down.
That bad call led to a touchdown for the Cowboys.
