MANHATTAN — Signing day proceeded as expected for Kansas State’s football team Wednesday morning with no surprises.
K-State announced the signing of 22 players, including seven who already are on campus.
Breontae Matthews, a three-star offensive tackle from Fullerton (Calif.) College, signed late Wednesday morning, joining 21 players previously announced by K-State. Matthews is expected to compete for playing time right away.
Among other players joining the Wildcats were Topeka High running back Mike McCoy, quarterback Skylar Thompson from Independence, Mo., and Holton fullback Mason Barta.
McCoy, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound running back, was rated by Rivals.
