K-STATE 13, TEXAS 3
MANHATTAN — With considerable experience returning, Kansas State entered its season opener with strong hopes for beating Texas.
The teams had met just once previously. The Longhorns rolled to a 46-0 win in 1913.
Senior quarterback Karl Enns engineered a comeback for the Aggies, who fell behind 3-0, but struck for two touchdowns. The second came on a fourth-down pass from Enns to halfback Joe Holsinger. K-State relied on its aerial attack for a startling amount of its production, completing 11 of 20 passes for 142 yards.
