MANHATTAN — The news of the week concerned the Big 12 and conference realignment.
TCU was approved as a new member, while Missouri was weighing the possibility of joining the SEC.
Kansas State president Kirk Schulz, chairman of the league’s expansion committee, sensed Missouri would stay in the league after the announcement to add TCU offered proof the Big 12 can provide a stable home for its members.
“We’re not going to be going through the conference shuffle again next year,’’ Schulz said.
