MANHATTAN — Travis Britz is a man of few words.
He has been forced this season, by seniority and responsibility, to take on a more vocal leadership role for Kansas State’s defense. Always a leader by example, the senior defensive tackle has become a strong presence through words and action.
Britz accepted that role at the beginning of the season, and since an injury to senior strong safety Dante Barnett in the opening game he has been a player others depend on in tough times on the field.
“I knew coming into the season that I was going to have to fill that leadership role,” Britz said.
