MANHATTAN — Travis Britz always appreciated every opportunity to be on the football field for games and practice, and that point was driven home when it was taken away.
Britz, a Kansas State defensive tackle, injured his left ankle in the West Virginia game last season and missed the Wildcats’ final three games, including the Alamo Bowl against UCLA. The senior has fully recovered and is ready to resume his position on the defensive line, but he’s well aware of the fragility of the game.
“I’m always encouraging the guys on defense to always act like this is your last year to play,” Britz said.
