Ten rowers named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes

The Kansas State women’s rowing team saw 10 student-athletes named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced on Thursday.

K-State’s 10 student-athletes marks the seventh-straight year that the Wildcats have had at least nine rowers earn the accolade.

The student-athletes named to the award are: Samantha Bendrick (Elementary Education), Marissa Butrum (Secondary Education), Courtney Cooke (Accounting), Kelsey Eagleman (Dietetics, Nutrition and Health), Mary Rose Eakes (Industrial Engineering), Courtney Faucett (Industrial Engineering), Madi Haney (Nutrition and Kinesiology), Jessica Kuhlman (Kinesiology, Gerontology), Regan Simpson (Psychology) and Ariana Thompson (Biology).

For Eakes, Haney, Kuhlman and Thompson, this is the third-straight year they have earned the honor, while Cooke is winning the award for the second-straight year.
