Kansas State is in Lawrence today for the 115th edition of the Sunflower Showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 PM at Memorial Stadium. Jon Morse has more details in the HOW TO WATCH post.
It’s one of college football’s oldest rivalries, dating all the way back to 1902 and played continuously since 1911. It is also one of the sport’s most lopsided series. Kansas may lead the series 64-45-5, but Kansas State has dominated the contest under Bill Snyder, winning eight straight, and 21 of the last 26 meetings. By the way, Snyder’s 21 wins in the series ties the record for most wins by an active head coach over a single opponent.
