MANHATTAN — Kansas State trailed by three points at halftime but dominated the second half for a 93-72 victory over South Dakota on Friday at Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats (3-0) took control early in the second half with a 16-4 run, giving them a 58-51 lead.
Freshman guard Barry Brown led K-State with 18 points, while Justin Edwards, Stephen Hurt and Dean Wade scored 15 points each. Wade had eight rebounds for the Wildcats, who were 36 of 45 at the free throw line.
Shy McClelland scored 20 points for South Dakota (1-3).
