Darren Sproles has done nothing but prove people wrong.
It’s what you have to do when you’re only 5-foot-6 and playing one of the toughest positions in the NFL — now in his 11th season.
The former Kansas State All-American has often made it look easy, though. Catching him, if you’re a defender, has always been far more difficult.
Sproles — along with Jordy Nelson, Michael Bishop and Clarence Scott — were on hand Saturday for their inductions into the Ring of Honor at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
And while the stadium has certainly changed since Sproles’ raced up and down the field at K-State from 2001-04, the little running back with blazing speed and ankle-breaking moves certainly has not.
