The strangest thing about Kansas State’s 14-13 defeat against TCU is the way they lost on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Give the Wildcats a mulligan on two short kicks (a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter and an extra point in the fourth that resulted in no points) and their first punt return (which ended with a fumble) and they win this game.
Let that sink in for a moment. K-State, a team that values special teams like few other college football programs, lost a game because it made too many unforced errors on kicks and punts.
